Just found this open letter to Denise Whiting, the self-focused owner of Cafe Hon here in Baltimore. It reflects my thoughts exactly.

Frank & Nanci Amazing Race 15 Application

This is my first time applying for any of the reality shows. The Amazing Race is the only show that I've ever REALLY wanted to be a part of. My fear in applying is that I've traveled a bit too much for the producers to select a team with me on it.

But over the past year, I've been talking to my long time friend Nanci, who is NOT a traveler at all. But Nanci represents many of the things producers are looking for: Drama, Drama, and Drama.

We've had our difficulties in the past, mostly because we are both strong personalities. I can see us doing quite well in this race if we are able to work together and allow each of us to shine with our strengths. We are gonna WIN! (if selected)

GINA: the shape shifting BMW

What you see above is the BMW GINA Light, and this car has a body made entirely out of high tech seamless fabric which is stretched over a metal frame. So it won’t turn into Optimus Prime and blast Decepticons, but it can transform. The body shape of this car can be changed at will by the driver.

The material on the exterior of this car is stretched over an aluminum frame which is controlled by hydraulics so you can change the shape of the car as you see fit. That means you can automatically make the spoiler higher, or widen out the fenders to fit your personal taste.

Words cannot explain how cool it looks when it shifts shapes. Check out the video and see for yourself.

This shape-shifting car is a concept car that was developed by BMW to “challenge existing principles and conventional processes.” The GINA is built on the same chassis as the BMW Z8 and it has a six-speed automatic transmission with a 4.4 liter V8 engine.

Caucasian Challenge

No, that's not the name of some contest for me to enter for me to remain white.... If you try to remember your geography, you'll find that there is a mountain range called the Caucauses... Well, I recently took part in a 17 day, 7,500 kilometer motor rally in a 1986 Moskvich. The race was called the Caucasian Challenge because it finished in the Caucasian Mountains.
